Radiation
destroys enzymes and micro-organisms in food. It delays ripening of fruits and
vegetables, inhibits sprouting in bulbs, disinfects grain, cereal products
and destroys bacteria in fresh meats. |

strawberries), vegetables and potatoes (prevents sprouting)
